Product FAQ

Q: How does V1CE work?

Tap your V1CE Smart Card on someone's phone and your details save directly to their contacts in seconds. No app needed on their end. Your digital profile opens instantly, and if you have Pro, a contact capture form grabs their details too. One tap shares yours and captures theirs.

Q: How does V1CE compare to other digital business card apps?

V1CE is consistently rated ahead of the competition. See the V1CE vs Linq comparison for a detailed breakdown, or the HiHello alternatives guide for a broader look.

Q: Do I need to buy a physical card to use V1CE?

No. You can start with just the software and use your digital profile via QR code, email signature, or wallet pass. Many professionals add a Smart Card later because it's a conversation starter and makes sharing effortless at events. Start free to see how it works.

Q: How long does setup take?

Most people are ready to share in under 10 minutes. If you've ever set up a social media profile, you can do this. We design your card for you at no extra cost, so there's nothing technical to figure out.

Q: What if the tap doesn't work on someone's phone?

Every V1CE card has a QR code on the back as a backup. If NFC doesn't connect (which happens occasionally with older phones or certain cases), they simply scan the QR code. Same result, no awkwardness.

Q: Can I update my details after I've ordered the card?

Yes, unlimited times. Your card links to your digital profile, which you control from your dashboard. Change your job title, phone number, add new links—everything updates instantly. No need to reorder cards when your details change.

Q: What phones does V1CE work with?

V1CE works with virtually all smartphones made in the last 8 years. iPhones (XS and newer) and most Android phones support NFC natively. For older phones, the QR code backup works on any phone with a camera.

Q: What's the difference between the free plan and Pro?

The free plan (included with any Smart Card purchase) gives you a digital profile you can share and basic analytics. Pro adds the tools that actually get you clients: contact capture to grab their details, automated follow-ups that send without you thinking about it, booking links, e-signatures, and a CRM to track everyone you've met. Pro is £49.99/month.

Q: What does contact capture mean?

When someone taps your card or views your profile, a form captures their name, email, and phone number, straight into your system. You walk away with their details, not just hope they'll save yours. It's the difference between giving your card and actually building a contact list.

Q: How do automated follow-ups work?

When someone taps your card, V1CE can automatically send them a sequence of emails over the following days and weeks, introducing yourself, sharing useful information, inviting them to book a call. You set it up once, and it runs every time. No more meaning to follow up and forgetting.
