The free way: make a pass inside Wallet (iOS 27)
iOS 27 added Create a Pass to Wallet. Apple says "You can make your own passes from a physical card, photo, or screenshot". Apple built it for gym and library cards, but a business card works too.
How to make one, from Apple's own guide
- Open the Wallet app on your iPhone.
- Tap the + button, then tap Create a Pass.
- Tap Create Pass Manually, then choose a template.
- Tap each field and fill in your details.
- Tap Done. The pass sits in Wallet next to your boarding passes.
Got iPhone 15 Pro or later? Apple says you can also make a pass from a photo or screenshot of a QR code. Tap Add to Wallet and follow the steps.
What a homemade pass can't do
- A homemade pass is a snapshot. Change jobs or numbers, and you edit the pass by hand.
- Nothing comes back to you. They see your details, but you don't get theirs.
- Nobody tells you who scanned it, so you can't follow up.
- The QR code route needs Apple Intelligence, on iPhone 15 Pro or later.
- The third way costs money. Building your own pass file needs Apple's developer program, at $99 a year, and you write and sign the file yourself.
How to add your business card to Apple Wallet with V1CE

Step 2:Open Pages, then Sharing
In your dashboard, open Pages, then the Sharing tab. Find Apple & Google Wallet and tap Add to Wallet.
Step 3:Pick your colors and logo

Keep the pass short. It's a doorway, not the whole house. Here's what goes on yours:
- Your name, the way people say it. Set it on your page.
- Your job title, so they remember where you met. That comes from your page too.
- Your card color and text color, under Customize appearance, so it looks like you on a crowded screen.
- Your logo, if you want it. Tap Upload my logo. Leave it off, and your initials sit in the corner.
Your phone, email and links live on your page, not the pass. That way you change them once, and every scan shows the new ones.
Step 4:Add it to Wallet, then share it
Tap Add to Apple Wallet. On your iPhone, tap the Add to Apple Wallet badge, then tap Add. Your pass now sits in Apple Wallet.
To share it, open Wallet and tap your pass. A double-click of the side button is the fast way into Wallet. They point their camera at the QR code. Your page opens, with no app to download.
